INTERVENTION PROGRAM

DURATION

The program normally consists of 16 to 24 individual sessions.

The question that needs to be asked is how do you change a child in a certain amount of time if an adult cannot change in 28 days?  How long does it take for a child to overcome his/her circumstances if they are not in control but an adult is?  We cannot give up on a child as long as the child is showing a desire to change!  By using healthy boundaries, appropriate feedback and two-way communication we assist a child on his/her journey for as long as it takes.

MANAGEMENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Principles in leadership, management is everywhere the same. Whether it is in a company, a school, a church, a family or any organisation. When there is accountability and responsibility or a team and feedback there is leadership there is management and employees/team members/sub ordinates

Your employees are the most important asset your company has.  It is also the most important influence on your current and future resources.  It is easier to replace a machine, desk or computer than it is to replace an employee however often we replace the employee because we think it will cost us time and money to retain that person.

Good skills do not always equate to healthy leadership abilities.  Companies sometimes promote managers and supervisors into management positions because they outperform their peers and not necessarily due to their leadership skills.

Isn’t it ironic that most companies spend 50-70% of their money on salaries and yet they spend less than 1% of the budget to train their people?

Structures within a company consist of management, supervisors and workers. These groups are divided by walls of culture, political, ethical, and social standards as well as various forms of mind-sets and predetermined assumptions that causes conflict within the company.  There are often walls between departments and company politics are flamed on with gossip and dissatisfaction caused by frustration that builds up due to lack of healthy communication.

Managers operate from the foundation that “I am The Boss” and that gives me the right to tell you what to do. This approach builds a wall between them and their supervisors. Lack of people and conflict resolution skills leave their supervisors lacking behind.

The supervisors are worse of because the managers do not have healthy relations with them and in turn they do not have the courage to enforce company standards, etc. Many of them also do not possess basic management skills.

The workers live mostly from pay-check to pay-check. Their day to day struggle is to fight for that increase believing it will change their lives. They lack life skills and emotional maturity and thus connect their happiness to their pay-check.

The program equips your management team to become successful leaders of influences that communicate effectively and achieve excellence through team building and corrective discipline.  The managers get the opportunity to influence their supervisors in an informal environment thereby building an effective team.

HOW DO WE REACH THIS GOAL?

Managers need to become leaders that will lead their departments. Developing the leader within their supervisors. A leader influences a team to accomplish the company vision.  Supervisors need to be empowered to apply management skills.  An effective manager has less losses and more profit.

Employees need to be given the necessary life skills to have more to life for than just a pay-check. A happy worker produces higher output. These life skill goals are there to equip the employee to overcome adverse circumstances and enjoy a healthy life – being the best they can be!

The program focuses on breaking down the walls that causes division in the company by developing a healthy team spirit and also teaching them to apply communication skills. It takes more than intellect, manuals and meetings to bring change. The program uses creative interaction, practical tools as well as intellect to bring about a healthy culture within the organisation.
